“I’m going to be a sit down comedian,”

Aaron announced, in his deep sing-song voice. Just a week earlier he had met Kim, a professional comedian and Kudoz host. She shared a few of her comedy writing secrets. Aaron was hooked.

He set himself a new goal: perform on stage. Kim said she could help. “I run a 6-week comedy course, let’s get you in that.” Not only did Aaron have Kim in his corner, now, he also had contacts with a professional storyteller and a radio show. For these experiences, Aaron earned his storytelling badge. The badge can go on his resume, digitally linked to the radio show performance. Credentials, we know from the literature, are a signal to potential employers of competence.
