Just like you might join a gym to exercise your body, you can join Kudoz to exercise your mind. With fresh input, our minds can expand and we can change how we think & feel, and what we say & do. Of course, change isn’t easy. Dr. Susan Mitchie, a UK-based behavioral scientist, has developed a model to explain behaviour change. Her model, called the Behaviour Change wheel, says we change when three things come together: our motivations, capabilities, and opportunities. In other words, when our desires match our skills, and when we get a chance to act on our desires and use our skills, change can happen. Here’s where coaching comes in handy. When you join Kudoz, you can decide to sign-up for coaching sessions. In coaching, you set out the direction you want to travel, and we work together to strengthen your motivation, practice skills, and remove the barriers preventing take-up of opportunities. Through Kudoz coaching, Korey found he “got the kick in the pants” he needed to get out and do things—like going on a historic walking tour of a new part of town.
