Who we know turns out to really matter. About 80% of jobs are found through personal networks. And studies show that our health and happiness is linked to the quality of our relationships. When we are disconnected from others, we can feel more anxious and depressed.
A few years ago, we spent time with 50 folks with and without disabilities to understand their experiences of isolation and disconnection. We saw how narrow lots of people's networks were: they didn’t know where to go to meet new people, or they didn’t have much to talk about. There were a lot of recycled conversations: about the weather, dogs, and holidays—but it was difficult to scratch beneath the surface and meaningfully connect.
Kudoz makes it easier to connect. We bring together people with shared interests, curiosities and fascinations. We help people have fresh things to talk about. And we increase the odds of forging new friendships, tapping into niche communities, and finding jobs.volume_up
